Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computational Research (JAMCR) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review policy to ensure the highest standards of scholarly publishing. The peer review process is designed to maintain objectivity, confidentiality, and academic quality, ensuring that all published papers represent significant contributions to the field of applied mathematics and computational research.

1. Overview of the Review Process

  • All manuscripts submitted to JAMCR undergo an initial editorial screening to assess scope, originality, ethical compliance, and adherence to the journal’s formatting guidelines.
  • Manuscripts that meet the preliminary criteria are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers for evaluation under the double-blind system, where both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous.
  • Reviewers assess manuscripts based on originality, novelty, mathematical rigor, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and ethical compliance.
  • Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may decide to:
    • Accept the manuscript with or without minor revisions,
    • Request major revisions and resubmission, or
    • Reject the manuscript.
  • The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account reviewers’ reports and overall editorial judgment.

2. Duration of Review

The average review duration is 4–6 weeks from the date of assignment to reviewers. The editorial office strives to ensure a timely and transparent review process while maintaining thorough academic evaluation. Authors are notified promptly about the review outcome and may be requested to submit revised manuscripts within a specified timeframe.

3. Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, detailed, and objective feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.
  • Manuscripts must be evaluated solely on scientific and scholarly merit, without bias related to the author’s identity, institution, nationality, or gender.
  • Reviewers must declare any potential conflict of interest—financial, professional, or personal—before accepting a review assignment.
  • All manuscripts and associated materials must be treated as strictly confidential. Reviewers must not use or disclose any information obtained during the review process for personal or professional advantage.

4. Ethical Considerations

The peer review process strictly follows the ethical guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any suspected misconduct, plagiarism, data manipulation, or breach of confidentiality identified during the review process will be reported to the Editor-in-Chief for appropriate investigation and action.

5. Post-Review Communication

Authors receive detailed reviewer comments and are encouraged to submit a point-by-point response addressing all suggestions and queries. Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the same reviewers (where feasible) to ensure consistency, fairness, and integrity in the final publication decision.

The Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computational Research (JAMCR) remains committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and efficient peer review process, fostering trust among authors, reviewers, and readers while promoting excellence in mathematical and computational research.
