The Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computational Research (JAMCR)
maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality using advanced
plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate
before the peer review process begins.
1. Acceptable Similarity Index
-
The total similarity index should not exceed
10–15%, excluding references, quotations,
equations, and commonly used technical phrases.
-
Manuscripts exceeding the permissible similarity limit may be
returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright,
depending on the severity.
2. Unacceptable Types of Plagiarism
-
Verbatim copying of text, equations, data, figures, or ideas
without proper acknowledgment of the original source.
-
Self-plagiarism or redundant publication,
including reuse of substantial parts of previously published work
without disclosure.
-
Manipulation, falsification, or misrepresentation of images,
tables, algorithms, or datasets without proper citation or permission.
3. Actions on Plagiarism Detection
-
Before publication:
Manuscripts found to violate plagiarism standards will be
rejected immediately and will not proceed to peer review.
-
After publication:
If plagiarism is detected post-publication, the article may be
retracted, and the author’s institution and/or funding agency
may be formally notified.
4. Compliance and Author Responsibility
-
JAMCR follows the ethical standards and best practices
recommended by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
-
Authors are required to submit a
Plagiarism Declaration Certificate
at the time of manuscript submission.
-
Submission of a manuscript to JAMCR implies that the authors
accept full responsibility for the originality and ethical
integrity of their work.
